PODCAST: Episode 51 – How to Utilize the Art of Bootstrapping w/ Kyle Pucko

EPISODE SUMMARY

Many entrepreneurs are faced with limited to no funds when they first start their business. This makes even the most necessary items, initiatives, and programs difficult to obtain and execute.

That said, individuals with an undying passion to succeed have been excelling and achieving greatness for years…even when financial resources were at their leanest. When money isn’t abundant, you’re left with one tool to maximize: creativity. When no other options exist, entrepreneurs can stretch a dollar further than anyone else on the planet. Fact check that…we did our research!

Bootstrapping is the art of executing ideas and plans using only existing resources. And, as mentioned above, money isn’t always one of those resources…especially for start-ups. That said, many, many businesses have grown to worldwide prominence by bootstrapping their efforts at the beginning. Facebook may be the ultimate example.

In Episode 51 of The Business Equation Podcast, host Nick Bogacz is joined by Kyle Pucko, Co-Founder of Geofli, a software company located in Missoula, Montana. Geofli’s primary software offering changes and replaces website content based on visitor location. And, as is the theme of today’s show, Geofli was launched with a true bootstrapping attack.

Kyle began his marketing career while working in the admissions offices of a few different colleges and universities in the U.S. While at the University of Montana and pushing the boundaries of college admissions marketing, he met his fellow Co-Founder, Nick. The two brainstormed the concept behind Geofli and the rest, as they say, is history.

In this episode, Nick and Kyle discuss the services Geofli offers while helping you understand how bootstrapping works and how you can make the most of your business initiatives. They also talk about the value of marketing, branding, and building a team over time that allows you to delegate skills and responsibilities you may not excel at while emphasizing those in which you do.
